The Arta IPAs and their affiliated management company, Western Medical Management, conduct business operations in compliance with ethical standards, contractual obligations, and federal and state statutes, regulations and rules; and with health plan-specific policies, procedures, memoranda of understanding, codes of conduct and quality of service requirements adhered to on behalf of their HMO, Medi-Cal, Medicare and Healthy Families members.

- Addressing the needs of members in a timely and culturally-sensitive manner, and providing for competent interpreters when needed
- Responding in a timely manner to provider referral-authorization requests and establishing a direct-referral process as appropriate for certain selected services in order to facilitate member access to medical care and services
- Enhancing and strengthening communications and relationships with contracted providers by automating work-flow processes through a secure, proprietary, web-based provider portal (MedMetro™)
- Recognizing that adherence to these tenets of providing superior service builds trust and loyalty, and ultimately contributes to the long-term retention of members and providers
