If you are currently a Medi-Cal member and are approaching age 65, you are encouraged to advise your primary care physician (PCP) that you may soon be eligible for Medicare. Together with your PCP, you will be able to explore the health care options that are available to you under Medicare, including the consideration of plans in which he or she is a participating provider.
Arta Western Medical Group’s affiliated IPA, Arta Health Network (AHN), has many providers with extensive experience in caring for Medicare beneficiaries and seniors 65 years or older who desire to live healthy, independent lives. In fact, your current Medi-Cal PCP may already be affiliated with AHN.
Our contracted providers make a special effort to ensure that newly-assigned senior members are seen soon after joining AHN for a comprehensive, initial health assessment. Thereafter, appointments are made for any necessary follow-up care, and all seniors are reminded to schedule their twice-annual physical examination, at a minimum, with their primary care phsycian.

If you are Medicare-eligible, and you elect to participate in one of AHN’s contracted senior health plans as listed above, be sure to call your health plan at either the number above or the number on the back of your health plan membership identification card, and request Arta Health Network as your preferred medical provider network. You'll receive a complete membership packet from your health plan, including a physician directory so that you can choose the AHN-contracted internist or family practitioner that you want as your primary care physician.
